Have you ever wondered how someone could sit in ice cold water and look relaxed? Or survive (and thrive!) going days with only water to drink? The way we stress our bodies impacts how we handle stress in the real world. Fasting and Deliberate Cold Exposure (DCE) are just two of the simple tools that Katie uses during her health coaching sessions. The benefits are too many to name but include improvements in mood, circulation, focus, clarity, sleep, lymphatic drainage, muscle recovery, autoimmune disease, cellular repair, energy, inflammation, ketones in the blood, hormone regulation, weight loss, and even reversing Type 2 diabetes!
What have you got to lose? Sessions with Katie include an intake period where we get to know each other. These sessions and free and customized to you after getting to know one another. Maybe you're not ready for cold exposure the first day, but we will get a program set for you based on your bio-individuality.
On the other hand, you may choose to go ahead with your first cold plunge! We will set an intention and discover our breath...then proceed for a short time in an ice bath where you will be focused on the present moment, developing a deeper mental focus. You may feel tingling in your hands and feet as your blood heads to your center to protect your organs. You may feel a moment or two of that "fight or flight". This is a completely natural response and Katie will be your guide so you come out out stronger on the other side. After your plunge, you will warm up in the infrared sauna with a gentle meditation.
